A lesson learned!
Laura goes to a women’s retreat with Forest Hill Church - Little that I know that on the retreat the Lord was going to speak loud and clear to me, He opened a door in my heart and a light to understand His mercy better. i learned that God uses our struggles to let His light shine in the world, for those around us to see Him in us and His love. I understood that longing for a child more than for Him was idolatry, and as Christ followers we are called to love Him above all things, including something as good and pure as a baby.
We then realized that we needed to fill that whole with God and Him alone, and there I found peace and knew that somehow God will provide and will give us a baby one day.
We have days that are harder than others, when a good friend tells us their joy of getting pregnant, and over and over and over, its hard but we love them and are happy for them, just hope that joy can be ours sooner than later.
